MAJ Sean Marquis is an instructor and executive officer for the Department of Military Instruction at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.

He received his commission through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at the University of New Hampshire in 2010. Operationally, he served as a company commander in the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, at Fort Drum, New York. He previously served as a company executive officer and rifle platoon leader in the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, at Joint Base Lewis–McChord, Washington.

MAJ Marquis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Arts degree in international affairs, with a concentration in security studies, from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies.

He is a graduate of the Maneuver Captains Career Course and the Infantry Officer Basic Course. His military education also includes Ranger School, the Basic Airborne Course, and Modern Army Combatives I and II.

MAJ Marquis’ awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge.
