USMA Announces Class of 2023 Cadet Leadership Positions
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Today, the U.S. Military Academy announced the names of the cadets from the Class of 2023 selected to lead the Corps of Cadets during the academic year. These cadets assumed their leadership duties on Aug. 8 prior to the start of the fall academic session at the academy.
“The cadet leaders for Academic Year 2023 are leaders of character who embody the values of Duty, Honor, and Country,” said Commandant of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Mark Quander. “Each of these leaders have demonstrated excellence in all four pillars, Character, Academics, Physicality, and Military, and are ready to lead the Corps of Cadets through the upcoming year."
The positions are:
- First Captain/Brigade Commander - Lauren Drysdale, Irvine, Calif.
- Deputy Brigade Commander - Kai Youngren, Florham Park, N.J
- Brigade Command Sgt. Maj. - Yousef Koborsi, Hillsboro, Ore.
- Brigade Executive Officer - Annalise Callaghan, Eagle River, Wisc.
- 1st Regimental Commander - Marquel Broughton, Lawrenceville, Ga.
- Regimental Command Sgt. Maj. - Emma Kuhrt, Wichita Falls, Texas
- 2nd Regimental Commander - Rhett Perry, Fayetteville, Ga.
- Regimental Command Sgt. Maj. - Mary Bell, Alexandria, Va.
- 3rd Regimental Commander - Carly Moore, Temple, Texas
- Regimental Command Sgt. Maj. - Michael Amberg, Naperville, Ill.
- 4th Regimental Commander - Deana Arbelaez, Raleigh, N.C.
- Regimental Command Sgt. Maj. - Willem Schuddeboom, Darien, Conn.
