Army Football completes two-day AAC media kickoff event

Arlington, Texas – Army West Point head football coach Jeff Monken and two of the four team captains, quarterback Bryson Daily and safety Max DiDomenico partook in the American Athletic Conference two-day Media Kickoff event on July 22-23 in Arlington, Texas. 

Head coaches and player representatives from all 14 AAC teams were in attendance.
 
At the event, Coach Monken and the players participated in several media shoots and had the opportunity to meet fans as well as testing out the new video game, EA Sports College Football ‘25.
 
The event was highlighted by the ESPN+ broadcast of the head coach press conferences and player interviews on July 23. Coach Monken was introduced to the media ahead of his press conference by new AAC commissioner Tim Pernetti as Daily and DiDomenico were interviewed on a live TV set by Brooke Kirchhofer.
 
The league's media preseason poll was also announced on Tuesday morning as Army was picked to finish fifth, receiving one first-place vote as they embark on their first season of AAC play.
 
As part of the event, the players from all 14 teams gathered for a social event at the Texas Rangers game on Monday night.
 
Coach Monken and the Army Black Knights hit the practice field for the first time on July 30 to begin preparation for the 2024 season.
 
Army kicks off the season versus Lehigh at home on Aug. 30 before heading to Boca Raton, Florida, to battle Florida Atlantic University in what will be the first AAC test on Sept. 7.
