Approximately 1,000 cadets from the U.S. Military Academy Class of 2023 convened at Eisenhower Hall to partake in the annual Affirmation Ceremony Sunday.

Members of the U.S. Military Academy Class of 1973 attended the ceremony as the 50-year affiliate class with guest speaker, USMA Class of 1973 graduate William S. “Bill” McArthur Jr. (bottom left) providing words of wisdom to the cadets on the importance of self-awareness, legacy and establishing lifelong friendships.

Soon after, the Commandant for the Corps of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Mark Quander, took the stage and conducted the Oath of Affirmation with the cadets as they pledged (above and bottom right) their commitment to the academy for the next two years and active duty service requirement to the military after graduation.
