Every year, the U.S. Military Academy designates one weekend during the spring semester for cadets to celebrate as a class and the Yearlings of the USMA Class of 2025 enjoyed their moment during Yearling Winter Weekend Feb. 4 at Washington Hall.

The Class of 2025 welcomed keynote speaker, Command Sgt. Maj. Mobarakzadeh, who is currently serving as the division command sergeant major of the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York.

Mobarakzadeh spoke about the importance of standards and discipline, especially in the smaller tasks and inspections, while ensuring the readiness for units in our Army. He advised cadets to lead the team they are given, not the team they want, and shared insights based on his experience of transforming a dysfunctional unit into one that was combat-ready.

With senior leaders present, the third-class cadets celebrated their collective accomplishments while also looking ahead to the future during their YWW banquet at Washington Hall.
