Robert M. S. McDonald is Professor of History at the United States Military Academy, where he has taught since 1998. A graduate of the University of Virginia, the University of Oxford, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his research and writing focuses on the American Revolution and Early Republic. He lives with his family in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York.
