LTC Devon Callahan is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy. He has taught courses including CY305 Cyber Foundations, CY300 Programming Fundamentals, CY350 Network Engineering and Management, IT105 Introduction to Computing and Information Technology, CS393 Database Systems, and CS484 Advanced Networks with a focus on software-defined networks.

He holds a doctorate in computer science from the University of Connecticut, a master's degree in computer science from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Methodist University. Callahan's research interests encompass artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, network optimization, systems design, and integration and testing. His work emphasizes network science across both computer and social networks, advancing applications in these fields.

Callahan began his career as a signal soldier, enlisting with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, and rising to the rank of staff sergeant. He commissioned through Officer Candidate School and since held numerous leadership roles. As a lieutenant, he served as platoon leader and company executive officer in the 327th Signal Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with deployments to Afghanistan. As a captain, he served with the 10th Mountain Division, first in the Division G6 and later as commander of Bravo Company, 10th Sustainment Brigade, where he deployed to Afghanistan again. 

His role as a major includes three years on faculty with USMA's Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He has commanded the Satcom Station at Camp Roberts, California, and served as a signal advisor to the Royal Saudi Air Defense Force as part of the U.S. Military Training Mission Task Force.
