LTC Jason Moulton is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where he also affiliated with the Robotics Research Center.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Clarkson University in 1999. Commissioned as a signal officer, he served as a platoon leader and battalion information officer in the 307th Signal Battalion, 1st Signal Brigade, at Camp Carroll, Korea.
As a captain, he commanded C Company, 447th Signal Battalion, prior to completing the Signal Captains Career Course. Following graduate school at the University of South Carolina, where he earned a master's degree in computer science and engineering, he deployed to Iraq as the senior signal advisor to the 11th Iraqi Army Division G-6 and Signal Company.
As a major, he graduated from resident Command and General Staff College and returned to Fort Gordon, where he served as the battalion executive officer for the 551st Signal Battalion and the S-3 operations officer for the 15th Regimental Signal Brigade. Following a deployment to Jordan and Kuwait with U.S. Army Central, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel.
After completing a doctorate from the University of South Carolina, LTC Moulton returned to USMA as a faculty member. He has co-authored eight scientific peer-reviewed papers and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
