LTC Dan Mahoney commissioned in 2006 from the United States Military Academy as a Field Artillery officer.  Over the course of his career he completed 9 combat deployments in the 4th Infantry Division and 75th Ranger Regiment, and served in a variety of roles including Company Fire Support Officer, Battery Commander, Battalion FSO, Battalion S3, DIVARTY S3, DIVARTY DCO, and Special Forces Group FSO.  He is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business.  In 2020, he completed a VTIP into FA58 (Marketing Behavioral Economics).
