Ongoing Research Projects

I am interested in the English Renaissance, especially William Shakespeare. I am also interested in the Southern Agrarians, especially Robert Penn Warren. Outside of the constraints of English Literature, I have an amateur love for Dante Alighieri and the Renaissance more broadly speaking. I also greatly enjoy reading novels that wrestle with the totalitarian or emerging totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, e.g. Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Jose Maria Gironella, Orwell et al. For my undergraduate, I focused on the classics as I studied Late Antiquity, especially the Fall of the Roman Empire.
