Biography
Christopher D. Barth currently serves as Librarian and Associate Dean at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he is responsible for coordinating library operations and strategic vision for academic information support. Mr. Barth also teaches as an adjunct instructor in the American History division of the Department of History and chairs the Academy’s Information Technology Strategy Committee. Prior to arriving at West Point, Mr. Barth served in positions of library and technology leadership at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. At these institutions he gained significant experience working in merged library and technology organizations in higher education and served for five years as the chief information officer at Luther College, responsible for the coordination of all strategic enterprise information support to the institution. Before his work in academic libraries, he worked as Librarian and Online Editor for the Anchorage Daily News in Anchorage, Alaska.
