Biography


Colonel Mark Crow is an Academy Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York and the Director of the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis. Mark was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force in 1998 as a Space and Missile Operations Officer. He transferred into the U.S. Army in 2000 and served as an Infantry Officer for 18 years with four operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mark holds a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering and a M.E. in Space Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, a M.P.A from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Economics from the University of Michigan. His research interests include topics in labor and public economics that inform the manning of an All-Volunteer Force and the military’s role in shaping labor market outcomes.
